VICTORIA ALEXANDER



Victoria Alexander is a Visual Artist  living and working in the Ottawa Valley area of Ontario, Canada. She has a diploma from The Ontario College of Art, a BA in FineArt from The University of Guelph and a

BEd from Queen's University from the Artist in Community Education Program.  She completed a Masters in Fine Art at the University of Portsmouth in the UK. 

Victoria was a resident in New York City for over a decade. There she was involved in the art scene in the Lower East Side and with Rivington School - a group of artists whose work ranged from photography and junk sculpture to performance art. A book about this movement, that she was  featured in, was published in the fall of 2016 entitled Rivington School, Underground Art of the 1980s. In early 2017 I received the Cathy Acker Award for her contribution to the avante garde arts community.

She continues to  show her work
at various venues in the US, Canada, Europe and the UK.
